How to Apply for Admission Video
Applying for admission to Penta Career Center is easy for high school students enrolled in any of the following member school districts: Anthony Wayne, Benton-Carroll-Salem, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Elmwood, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Swanton, and Woodmore.

Career Assessment Services
Penta offers Career Assessment to assist students in realistic planning for the future by helping them discover their interests, abilities, career preferences, and learning styles. Certified Career Assessment staff work with students individually to support them in determining options for their high school education and beyond. Students interested in enrolling in the Sophomore Exploratory program or the Sophomore Advanced Manufacturing Academy can request a Career Assessment. Additionally, parents and Penta staff can recommend a career assessment for students.

Sophomore Program Options
Penta offers the Sophomore Exploratory Program for students who are interested in investigating career-technical fields on Penta’s campus. In this year-long program, sophomores will explore up to three career areas, earn academic credits, and receive small group and one-on-one career and life skills mentoring. At the conclusion of this program, students will have the tools and knowledge necessary to make informed choices regarding their future educational, career and life plans. Students have the option to request a one-day visit to Penta for a career assessment to determine options for their high school education and beyond. To arrange a career assessment, students and parents should work with their high school counselor to coordinate this visit.
The Sophomore Advanced Manufacturing Academy is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in the manufacturing industry. Sophomores will be instructed in safety, attain valuable skills and learn about the variety of career opportunities in the manufacturing industry. Students will experience manufacturing areas such as: Welding, Precision Machining, Robotics & Automation, and Computer-Aided Design.

Additional Career-Technical Programs
Career-technical programs are also offered as early as tenth grade for students who would benefit from specialized instruction and support services. Admission to these programs requires a referral from the student's high school counselor. Students may be referred for a Career Assessment.
