How to Apply for Admission Video
Applying for admission to Penta Career Center is easy for high school students enrolled in any of the following member school districts: Anthony Wayne, Benton-Carroll-Salem, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Elmwood, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Swanton, and Woodmore.

Sophomore Program Application

Sophomore Exploratory Program
Penta offers the Sophomore Exploratory Program for students who are interested in investigating career-technical fields on Penta’s campus. Freshmen interested in applying to this program can apply online. In this year-long program, sophomores will explore many career options, earn academic credits, and receive small group and one-on-one career and life skills mentoring. At the conclusion of this program, students will have the tools and knowledge necessary to make informed choices regarding their future educational, career and life plans. Students have the option to request a one-day visit to Penta for a career assessment during their freshman year. To arrange a career assessment, students and parents should work with their high school counselor to coordinate this visit.

Career Assessment Services
Career Assessment Services at Penta assists students in realistic planning for the future by helping them discover their interests, abilities, career preferences, and learning styles. Certified Career Assessment staff work with individual students to support them in determining options for their high school education and beyond. Any student interested in enrolling at Penta can request a career assessment through their school counselor.

Additional Career-Technical Programs
Career-technical programs are also offered as early as tenth grade for students who would benefit from specialized instruction and support services. Admission to these programs requires a referral from the student's high school counselor. Students may be referred for a Career Assessment.
These programs include:
Career Based Intervention (CBI)
Penta offers CBI programs in satellite locations for students who are behind in credits and are at-risk for not completing graduation requirements. Through a cooperative effort between employers, parents/guardians, and the school, students learn to become productive workers and earn credits toward graduation. The application for admission to the CBI program is available HERE. However, the student's school counselor must provide a recommendation prior to the student applying for admission.
