BOWLING GREEN STUDENTS: Please make sure to read very carefully: Bowling Green Schools will be having a staff professional development day today and Monday, March 18. Due to this, Penta students who need transportation will need to meet in the front parking lot of Bowling Green High School at 7:20 AM. At the end of the school day, buses will drop students off in the main parking lot at 3:20 pm at the high school and students will need to be picked up or get a ride home from there.
ATTENTION ROSSFORD JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Prom is Saturday, April 27 at the Toledo Zoo. Tickets will be going on sale next Monday, March 18 for one week, then again on Monday, April 1 for one week. Tickets cost $50.00 each and that includes dinner, the carousel, train rides, DJ and photo booth. PER ROSSFORD, NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER FRIDAY, APRIL 5. If you are bringing a guest who is not a Rossford High School student or is a Rossford High School sophomore or freshman, you must complete a guest dance form. Guest forms are available at Rossford’s Main Office or on the red wall here at Penta. Penta students will be able to purchase tickets here at Penta after school on Wednesday, March 20 and again on Wednesday, April 3 at 2:30 PM. An announcement will be made for you to leave classes early to purchase your tickets. Please plan to have your dance guest form filled out prior to buying tickets for a guest.
ROSSFORD SENIORS: Just a reminder: if you have not already picked your senior t-shirt up from the Student Services Office, please make sure to stop in and see them to get it.
SWANTON STUDENTS: Swanton HS will be here at Penta next Tuesday, March 19 to sell Prom tickets during all lunches. Tickets are $40.00 per person. Guest dance forms AND an information flyer will be available at that time as well. Students can also go to Swanton High School to male your purchase from 7:00 AM to 2:330 PM on March 18th through March 28th. Per Swanton HS – NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER THAT DATE!
ATTENION DRUG-FREE CLUB MEMBERS: The next DFC Incentive Day will be on Thursday, March 21 during all lunches. Please make sure to wear your DFC t-shirt and stop by the table for a sweet treat to get you in the mood for Spring Break!
ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: Please make sure to sign up with Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office – Room 1103 to learn about the awesome opportunities Owens has to offer as ell as learn the next steps to continuing your education after high school.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Owens Tech Prep Scholarship is now available on the Penta Career Center Online Scholarship Website or in the Student Services Office with Ms. Kronk. To qualify, seniors must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 by the end of the seventh semester of high school, applied to attend Owens Community College next year in a program related to your Tech Prep program here at Penta, and complete the FAFSA form. An official high school transcript is also required. The deadline for documentation is May 10, 2024 or the last day of school for seniors. Please make sure you have ALL the documents you need. Please see Ms. Kronk if you need a paper copy or locate it on the Penta Career Center Online Scholarship Website.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Penta Career Center Common Application is now available on the Penta Career Center Scholarship Website or in the Student Services Office with Ms. Kronk. This scholarship is given to Penta seniors ONLY and could be a great financial aid tool for you to use for tuition, college costs, or tools for the workplace! Applications and all supporting documents including any reference letters are due on Friday, April 12 at 3:00 PM. DO NOT WAIT TO ASK FOR REFERENCES OR TO COMPLETE THE LETTERS! Please make sure to get all materials you need in a timely manner starting NOW! See Ms. Kronk or your counselor with any questions.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Hirzel Tuition Scholarship and Resource Assistance Scholarship are now available in the Student Services Office and on the Penta Career Center Scholarship website. These are two, separate awards given only to Penta seniors and may be used for college or work-related expenses. Completed applications with all supporting materials are due back to Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office by Friday, April 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM. DO NOT WAIT TO GET YOUR APPLICATION! ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Local 33 Sheet Metal Workers Union in Rossford, Ohio is hosting a Heavy Metal Summer Camp on Tuesday, June 18 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM . Camp will be 3 days a week for 2 weeks concluding on Friday, June 28 with a Heavy Metal Summer Camp Graduation. Lunch will be provided daily. ATTENTION STUDENTS: Are you interested in summer employment/ Penta is looking for dedicated students who are interested in working on campus for the summer. To be eligible, you must be a Penta student in the fall of 2024. Some duties you could be performing are mowing, trimming, and mulching of landscape, painting labs and classrooms or general cleaning of labs, classrooms, and school vehicles. Additional details will be supplied during the interview process. Tentatively, work will begin on Monday, June 3 and continue through mid-August. Applications can be picked up with Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office – Room 1103 on the red wall. Completed applications must be turned in to Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office – Room 1103 Deadline for all applications is Tuesday, April 30 at 3:00 PM.
