MAUMEE STUDENTS: Yahtzee, UNO, Chess, Monopoly – sound like fun?  Join us for Maumee High School Games Club.  We will be meeting tomorrow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM in Room 220 at Maumee.  All are welcome.  Bring a friend and put an extra ticket in the hat to win valuable prizes.
SWANTON STUDENTS:  Swanton students are collecting gently used shoes for a student fundraiser.  If you would like to donate them, we would love to take them off your hands.  All shoes will be accepted; roller skates and ice skates are not accepted.  The shoes will be re-purposed and sent to other countries to be worn again!  Collection boxes will be here at Penta until Monday, January 13.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Ohio Career-Technical Administrators organization is awarding the Dr. G. James Pinchak Memorial Scholarship this year to help career and technical education students further their training.  It is available to all current seniors who are completing their CT program this year and is entering college, the workforce, or a CTE Career Apprenticeship program.  This is a $500.00 award and is awarded to one OCTA region.  If you are interested in this scholarship, please register using the information on the front window of the Student Services Office – Room 1103.   Expiration date is March 1, 2023.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS:  Just a reminder that Penta Career Center has an online Scholarship List on the Penta website.  Now is the time to start checking this list as it will continue to be updated with local scholarships as well as Penta produced scholarships which can only be awarded to Penta students.  If you need help finding this site, please see your counselor or Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Penta Career Center Common Application is now available on the Penta Career Center Scholarship Website or in the Student Services Office with Ms. Kronk.   This scholarship is given to Penta seniors ONLY and could be a great financial aid tool for you to use for tuition, college costs, or tools for the workplace!  Applications and all supporting documents are due on Friday, April 14 at 3:00 PM.   DO NOT WAIT!  Please make sure to get your application and supporting documents started NOW!
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Owens Tech Prep Scholarship is now available on the Penta Online Scholarship List as well as in the Student Services Office with Ms. Kronk.  To qualify, seniors must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 by the end of their seventh semester of high school, applied to attend Owens Community College next year in a program related to your Tech Prep program here at Penta, and complete the FAFSA form.  An official high school transcript is also required.  The deadline for all documentation is May 12, 2023 or the last day of school for seniors.  Please make sure you have ALL the documents you need.  Please see Ms. Kronk for a paper copy or locate it on the Penta Career Center Scholarship Website.
ATTENTION SENIORS:  Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio is holding “Navigate NSCC” an event on four days in February and March.  If you are interested in knowing more about Northwest State including signing up for scholarships to attend, chat with advisors and meet faculty members and get the chance to meet up with student-involved organizations, then this is the time!  Tuesday, February 21 from 3-7 PM, Friday, February 24 from 8 AM to 1 PM, Thursday, March 9 from 3-7 PM, and Friday, March 10 from 9 AM to 1 PM.   Please call 419-267-1320 for registration or e-mail the Admissions office at [email protected].  A poster with a QR code will be coming soon.
ATTENTION SENIORS:  The Ohio Credit Union Foundation is offering Ohio undergraduate credit union members the opportunity to apply for one of three scholarships ($5000.00, $2,500.00, and $1,000.00) by creating an interactive 1 to 2.5 minute video answering the following scholarship question:  How does your credit union support the local community?  The video scholarship has begun and all entries must be entered by Friday, April 28 at midnight.  Please go to for more information and requirements.
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS:  The Hirzel Tuition Scholarship and Resource Assistance Scholarship are now available in the Student Services Office and also on the Penta Career Center Scholarship Website.  These are two, separate awards given to only Penta seniors and may be used for college or work-related expenses.  Completed applications with all supporting materials are due back to Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office by Friday, April 21 at 3:00 PM.  DO NOT WAIT!  Please make sure you get your applications and supporting documents started NOW!
ATTENTION ALL PENTA STUDENTS:  Mad Anthony and Toledo Girls Rugby is on the hunt for new rugby players.  Any boy or girl, grades 9-12 can play.  No rugby experience needed; just bring your desire to learn and enjoy playing a new sport.  Clubs are based in the Waterville, Ohio area and open to all schools with the exception of Perrysburg HS.  Please contact the coaches listed in the AW bulletin board, follow the Instagram page, or click on the QR Code in the AW bulletin board.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: A representative from Owens Community College will be coming every Friday to Penta starting through May 2023.   If you are interested in setting up an appointment with him, please make sure to see Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office – Room 1103 and she will add you to the list.  All appointments will take place during your lab time unless you need to make a special arrangement to your schedule.  Please see your guidance counselor with any questions.
ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Are you considering college or would like to learn more about in-demand careers?  Make sure to come to College & Career Premier at Owens Community College on Wednesday, March 8 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.  This is your chance to talk with representatives from business and industry, along with colleges and universities in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania and more!   Experts on financial aid and scholarships, military academies, disability services, and college athletics will also be there to answer your questions.  Invite Mom and Dad or just bring your friends!  For more information, please make sure to see your counselor. 
ATTENTION STUDENTS AND STAFF:  Congratulations goes out to the following DECA/Marketing students who recently went to District 2 Competition and placed in the following categories:   Megan Odneal placed 4th in the Hotel and Lodging Series and was a state qualifier, Graham Zaper and Dean Holtz placed 4th in the Entrepreneurship Team and was a state qualifier, Nolan LaFeir placed 3rd in Personal Financial Literacy and was a state qualifier, and Ember Kaiser placed 2nd in Business Services and also was a state qualifier.   If you see one of these students, make sure  you say great job!
