Students Shine at 2025 SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships

SkillsUSA State Contestants

      Penta Career Center students earned top awards at the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships held March 18-19, 2025 in Columbus. Twenty-three students earned either a gold, silver or bronze medal.  Seven students earned gold medals/1st Place and qualify for the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference June 23-27, 2025 in Atlanta, GA.  In addition, Penta's SkillsUSA Chapter was recognized as a GOLD Chapter of Excellence-- one of only two schools in the state to receive this honor. 
     The following students who earned gold medals/1st Place are:  Catherine Brunsman (Bowling Green) from the Culinary Arts program for the Culinary contest;  Anthony Cicigoi (Bowling Green) from the Firefighter program for the First Aid/CPR contest;  Olivia Buder (Genoa) from the Medical Technologies Academy for the Medical Terminology contest; and Tyler Donald (Elmwood) from Construction Electricity, Love Gase (Anthony Wayne) from Construction Masonry, Liesl Pinkelman (Eastwood) from Construction Carpentry, and Felix Torres (Otsego) from Construction Remodeling – all for the TeamWorks contest.
