The Automotive Technology and Automotive Collision Repair programs are hosting a “Cruise-In” Car Show, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on the Penta campus. All types of vehicles and motorcycles are welcome to participate. Vehicle owners are admitted free of charge as long as they bring a non-perishable food item or a personal hygiene item to donate to the Penta Pantry. The pantry helps Penta students and their families who are in need of assistance.

Penta Career Center, a career-technical educational facility for high school and adult students since 1965, is searching for successful individuals for its annual Outstanding Alumni Awards. Since its inception in 1993, these prestigious awards have been presented to 151 Penta alumni. Recipients of Penta’s 2018 Outstanding Alumni Awards will be honored at a special banquet at the high school on November 8, 2018.

Parents/Guardians are invited to Penta's annual Parent Night on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. This event provides the opportunity to meet teachers and administrators. At 6:15 p.m. parents will follow their student's first semester schedule. Beginning at 7:15 p.m. parents will have the opportunity to meet their student's second semester teachers. Penta's school store will be open during Parent Night and yearbooks can be ordered during the event at a cost of $38. Prior to Parent Night, a light supper will be available from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Commons. Cost is $6.00 per person and includes deli sandwiches, salad, beverage, and dessert. In addition, a College Planning presentation will take place prior to Parent Night beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Susor Auditorium.

Important Information for all Penta Students....- Wednesday, August 15 is the first day of school for all sophomore students and all junior students who are in a career-technical program that is new to them (this includes all students who were in the Sophomore Exploratory program last school year). Any senior student who is either new to Penta or is changing their career-technical program should also report to school on this day. - Thursday, August 16 - ALL students report to school- Penta's school day begins at 8:10 a.m. and ends at 2:55 p.m. - Class schedules will be distributed to students when they arrive on their first day- Bus transportation questions should be directed to your member school

Penta Career Center is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a Pacesetter School Award from the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB). Teachers and administrators were on hand in July to accept the award during SREB’s Annual High Schools That Work (HSTW) Staff Development Conference in Orlando, Florida. “We are very honored to receive this award from the SREB,” says Ronald Matter, superintendent of Penta Career Center. “Over the years, our staff has worked collaboratively to transform our professional development opportunities. We feel this approach has led to staff ownership of their professional development and an increase in students’ ownership of their learning.”
