Congratulations to eight Penta students who earned either a gold, silver or bronze medal at the Ohio SkillsUSA Championships on April 12 in Columbus. Gold medalists qualify the SkillsUSA Championships in Louisville, KY in June. Rhiannon Reaper (a junior from Oak Harbor), who is in Penta’s Information Technologies Academy, was elected president of Ohio SkillsUSA!

State contest winners included:
Gold (1st Place in Ohio) - Greyson Perry (Lake) from Interactive Media for the Advertising Design contest and Danielle Pearson (Anthony Wayne) & Analicia Santos (Northwood) both from Cosmetology and both for the Nail Care contest.

      Penta's FFA chapter is hosting Ag Day on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the    Penta campus, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. Ag Day features a spring plant and flower sale by the Floral Design & Greenhouse Production students; a tree and shrub sale by the Landscape & Turfgrass Management students; dog baths by the Small Animal Care students (proof of vaccinations required); and a kiddie tractor pull at 10:00 a.m. coordinated by the Powersports & Engine Systems program. [...click for more]

     High school seniors, who are studying Culinary Arts at Penta Career Center, have spent the past few weeks researching foods from foreign countries and will be preparing many delectable dishes for sampling during an event called “Taste of the Nations.” The event takes place on the following dates March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the student-operated Culinary Connection restaurant on the campus of Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township.
