Join Penta Career Center at the Toledo Walleye hockey game on Friday, Feb. 1 for STEM Night. We will have various interactive displays set up in the Aquarium at the Huntington Center beginning at 5 p.m. through the Walleye Game at 7 p.m. Stop out to see Penta staff and students demonstrating various hands-on activities including Motoman robots, a welding simimulator, VEX robots, drones, and more. Tickets are $15 and includes a FREE meal voucher if you purchase them online before January 25, 2019. Tickets can be purchased at Toledo/Walleye.com/STEMnight.

Petals and Plants, a flower and gift shop operated by high school students in the Floral Design/Greenhouse Production program at Penta Career Center, will host its RESCHEDULED Holiday Open House on Tuesday, November 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place inside Petals and Plants located on the Penta campus at 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township.

Penta Career Center will host its annual Career Night on Monday, December 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at its campus located at 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. The event is designed to introduce high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors; middle school students; and parents to the variety of career-technical training options available at Penta.

Penta Career Center has selected six former students as recipients of the 2018 Outstanding Alumni Award. The alumni were recognized during a special evening banquet at Penta on November 8, 2018. Each year the Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni Award is bestowed upon individuals who have completed a career-technical training program at Penta and who are currently working in a successful career. Since the award’s inception in 1993, 151 former high school or adult education students have been honored with the award. This is Penta’s 26th year of recognizing alumni.

The Culinary Arts programs at Penta Career Center are hosting an annual scholarship dinner and silent auction on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons area on the Penta campus, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. Theme for the event is “Bring on the Southern Charm.” Proceeds from the dinner and silent auction benefit a general scholarship fund and the Hirzel Scholarship fund at Penta. The scholarships assist students with either post-secondary tuition or tools. The Silent Auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $75 per person or $500.00 for a table of eight. Special guest musician, Dave Carpenter, will provide live entertainment. Prizes and games will also be available. The emcee is Fred LeFebvre from News Radio 1370 WSPD.
