The Penta Career Center Board of Education, during its January 10, 2018 organizational meeting, has elected Judith Paredes, who represents the Wood County Educational Service Center, as president of the Board. In addition, Kenneth Sutter, who represents the Rossford School District, was elected vice president of the Penta Board.

Penta Career Center held its annual Scholarship Dinner & Silent Auction on Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the Commons at Penta. This year's theme was "It’s VEGAS!” The event raised over $28,000 for the following scholarships for Penta students: Culinary Scholarship, Hirzel Family Scholarship and Penta’s General Scholarship Fund. About 318 guests attended the event. Thank you to all who attended the event and who supported or donated to the Silent Auction.

Penta Career Center's Culinary Arts program has been recognized by Sullivan University as one of the nation's top hospitality programs. In December, the university named the winners for the 2018 Elite 50, an annual selection of the top 50 secondary school hospitality programs in the nation.
Penta Career Center will host its annual Career Night on Monday, December 4th, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at its campus located at 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. The event is designed to introduce high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors; middle school students; and parents to the variety of career-technical training options available at Penta Career Center.

Congratulations to six former students who will be recognized November 9 with the 2017 Outstanding Alumni Award. Each year the Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni Award is bestowed upon individuals who have completed a career-technical training program at Penta and who are currently working in a successful career. Since the award’s inception in 1993, 145 former high school or adult education students have been honored with the award. This is Penta’s 25th year of recognizing alumni.

The Culinary Arts programs at Penta Career Center are hosting its an annual scholarship dinner and silent auction on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons area on the Penta campus, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. Theme for the event is “It’s VEGAS!” Proceeds from the dinner and silent auction benefit a general scholarship fund and the Hirzel Scholarship fund at Penta. The scholarships assist students with either post-secondary tuition or tools. The Silent Auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $75 per person or $500.00 for a table of eight. Special guest musician, Dave Carpenter, will provide live entertainment. Prizes and games will also be available.
