Cruise-In Car Show POSTPONED to Wed. Oct. 5
     The Automotive Technology programs at Penta Career Center are hosting a “Cruise-In” Car Show, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 (POSTPONED to Wed. October 5) from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on the Penta campus located at 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg, Ohio. All types of vehicles and motorcycles are welcome to participate. Vehicle owners are admitted free of charge as long as they bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Perrysburg Township’s annual Operation Breadbasket drive. 
Community Wellness Day is October 15
Students and staff at Penta Career Center will host the first annual Community Wellness Day on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon at the Penta campus, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. A 5K Trail Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. that will take runners and walkers through the various terrains around the Penta campus. Cost is $30 and includes a t-shirt (if registered by October 3rd ) and breakfast after the race. In addition, a ½ mile Kids Fun Run for kids 10 and younger will also take place at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 per child and includes a t-shirt (if registered by October 3rd ), participant ribbon and breakfast after the race.  Register for either race at the following website:

Whether you're a prospective employee or an employer looking for trained staff, Penta Adult Ed offers four-hour forklift training (on-site at Penta's labs or at an employer's location). This is a valuable skill that makes prospective employees more marketable, and current employees safer and more productive.  
Area Adults Honored for Earning their GED
     Penta Career Center’s Adult Education Division held its annual Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the Susor Auditorium at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. Penta had 120 successful GED completers and 51 adults were recognized at the event.

On Thursday, June 9, Penta Career Center awarded industry-recognized credentials to 114 Adult Education students, its largest graduating class in several years. These graduates’ skills and training have prepared them for Ohio’s in-demand jobs, from welding, construction and other skilled trades to pharmacy technicians, certified clinical medical assistants and state-tested nurses’ aides.
