Registration open for spring medical courses
In three months or less, you could be starting your new career in the health care field, one of Ohio's fastest-growing professions. Penta Adult Ed offers three health care training programs: clinical medical assistant, pharmacy technician and state-tested nurse's aide (STNA).  
Auto Tech classes start in downtown Toledo, Jan. 2016
Penta is partnering with Cherry St. Mission Ministries to offer courses at downtown Toledo's Life Revitalization Center, formerly Macomber High School.  
Plumbing apprenticeship starts Jan. 12, 2016
Start a great career with Penta’s new plumbing apprenticeship program! It blends classroom education with on-the-job training, so you’ll meet the four-year program requirements approved by the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council (OSAC).  
Congratulations to Penta's 2015 Outstanding Alumni!
   Penta Career Center has selected six former students as recipients of the 2015 Outstanding Alumni Award. The alumni were recognized during a special evening banquet at Penta on November 12, 2015. Each year the Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni Award is bestowed upon individuals who have completed a career-technical training program at Penta and who are currently working in a successful career. Since the award’s inception in 1993, 132 former high school or adult education students have been honored with the award.  
Employers, educational partners meet with students
Job prospects for Penta Adult Ed graduates are strong, with fully credentialed training for some of Ohio's most in-demand jobs. During the coming weeks, students in several classes will be meeting with local employers and admissions representatives from area schools.  
Penta Adult Ed earns six-year accreditation
Penta Adult Education is now fully accredited through the Council on Occupational Education (COE), joining a network of post-secondary education institutions that serve more than 300,000 student nationwide. To be accredited, Penta Adult Ed underwent a thorough review to ensure that it has and will continue to meet ever-rising standards, which include fiscal stability, recruitment, financial aid, records management, program completion and more.  
ADP students learn new skills
The first 100 students funded through the Adult Diploma Program are learning new skills in Penta's fully equipped skilled trades and medical labs. This state-funded grant offers Ohioans who are age 22 years or older, without high school diplomas or GEDs, the chance to earn state-issued high school diplomas and build important skills for Ohio's in-demand jobs.
