Penta Career Center's Marine Skills Mechanic class graduated Thursday, March 12. The program, which focuses on marine motor systems and repair, meets at the Lake Winds Industrial Park in Oak Harbor. The program is held in the facility's state of the art lab, which houses a stockpile of high-end boat motors and other equipment, many of which were donated by local individuals and businesses. Instructor Greg Sharp has done an excellent job training and guiding the students throughout the course. Many of the students have been working or are currently being recruited by businesses in the field, including the boating division of Bass Pro Shop as well as various marinas in Port Clinton, Sandusky, and the surrounding area.
