2024 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipients

2024 Outstanding Alumni

    Penta Career Center has selected four former students as recipients of the 2024 Outstanding Alumni Award.  The alumni were recognized during a special evening banquet at Penta on November 14.  Each year the Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni Award is bestowed upon individuals who have completed a career-technical training program at Penta and who are currently working in a successful career. 
    Since the award’s inception in 1993, 183 former high school or adult education students have been honored with the award.  Included below are brief descriptions of the 2024 Penta Outstanding Alumni Award recipients.  
    Ken Bialecki (of Waterville) is a 1982 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and completed his career-technical training through Penta’s Construction Electricity program.  He is the owner of A E Electric Inc. in Grand Rapids.    
    John Coger (of Maumee) is a 2011 graduate of Eastwood High School and completed his career-technical training through Penta’s Applied Manufacturing Technologies program.  He is a CNC/Design manager at GS Engineering in Maumee.  
    Alyssa (Basham) Johnson (of Perrysburg) is a 2013 graduate of Perrysburg High School and completed her career-technical training through Penta’s Culinary Arts program.  She is an instructor of Culinary Arts at Penta and the owner of Alyssa’s Cakes and Confections LLC. 
    Laura (Luckey) King (of Mansfield, Ohio) is a 2012 graduate of Woodmore High School and completed her career-technical training through Penta’s Exercise Science/Sports Healthcare program.  She is an occupational therapist with Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
