Taste of the Nations is March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 & 31
Taste of the Nations is March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 & 31    High school seniors, who are studying Culinary Arts at Penta Career Center, have spent the past few weeks researching foods from foreign countries and will be preparing many delectable dishes for sampling during an event called “Taste of the Nations.” The event takes place on the following dates March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the student-operated Culinary Connection restaurant on the campus of Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township. Cost for Taste of the Nations is $12 per person. Reservations are recommended at 419-666-1120 Ext. 1104.
     The students will be preparing a variety of dishes from 18 countries. Some of the countries and featured menu items include: Spain – Paella; Poland – Potato Pierogi; Japan – Sukitaki; Germany – Veal Schnitzel and Apple Strudel; Mexico – Pan Dulce and Beef & Chorizo Empanadas; Italy – Pasta Bolognese; France – Duck Breast with Wild Mushrooms and Ratatouille; Ireland – Lamb Stew; Norway – Spinach Soup; Costa Rica – Arroz Con Pollo; Canada – Peach Cake and Poutine; and Finland – Cabbage Rolls.
