Congratulations to the 2016 Penta Outstanding Alumni Award Recipients
Congratulations to the 2016 Penta Outstanding Alumni Award Recipients     Congratulations to the 2016 Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni recipients!  On November 10, seven former students were recognized with this special award at the annual All Boards dinner at Penta. 
     Each year the Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni Award is bestowed upon individuals who have completed a career-technical training program at Penta and who are currently working in a successful career. Since the award’s inception in 1993, 138 former high school or adult education students have been honored with the award.
     Included below are brief descriptions of each 2016 Penta Outstanding Alumni Award recipient.

Joy (Rabbitt) DuShane is a 1966 graduate of Lake High School and completed her career-technical training in Penta’s High Skill Stenography program. She is an executive assistant to the president of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Allen Eckel is a 1986 graduate of Springfield High School and completed his career-technical training in Penta’s Data Processing program. He is a senior database administrator and technical team leader for ProMedica.

Ron Lenz is a 1994 graduate of Genoa High School and completed his career-technical training in Penta’s Construction Electricity program. He is an industrial electrician with KUKA Toledo Production Operations (KTPO).

Jay Mauter is a 1982 graduate of Maumee High School and completed his career-technical training in Penta’s Construction Carpentry program. He is the co-owner of North Point Remodeling.

Doug Schmidt is a 1991 graduate of Genoa High School and completed his career-technical training in Penta’s Construction Carpentry program. He is the co-owner of North Point Remodeling.

Joshua B. Torres is a 1998 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and completed the Penta/Anthony Wayne Marketing Education program. He is a SUBWAY franchisee and president/CEO of The Chamber Partnership.

Molly (Frey) Wilson is a 2001 graduate of Maumee High School and completed the Penta/Maumee Marketing Education program. She is a community arborist for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
