Students Qualify for Ohio BPA Contest
       High school students enrolled in business programs at Penta Career Center and at Penta’s satellite programs at Swanton High School, recently earned awards during the regional contest of Business Professionals of America (BPA) held at Bowling Green State University on January 23.  Thirty students from Penta’s main campus programs earned top awards at the contest and qualify for the 2018 BPA State Leadership Conference March 8 & 9 in Columbus.  In addition, 13 students from Penta’s satellite business programs at Swanton High School also qualify for the BPA state competition.

       Students at Swanton High School who also competed at the regional BPA contest and qualify for the state BPA contest include:  Zachary Bloom for Payroll Accounting; Tanner Callicotte for Payroll Accounting; Cydney Christensen for Advanced Accounting; Dominic Domitio for Personal Financial Management; Haiden Gombash for Fundamental Accounting; Anthony Howard for Payroll Accounting; Wyatt Lake for Fundamental Accounting; Weston Miller for Personal Financial Management; Hayley Nelson for Advanced Accounting; Seth Rains for Fundamental Accounting; Trevor Schaller for Advanced Accounting; Sidney Taylor for Personal Financial Management; and Isaac Thomas for Advanced Accounting.
BPA is a career and technical student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology, and other career fields.
