PENTA Career Center News Article

Penta featured in Ohio ConnectED newsletter

Penta Adult Education and Cherry St. Mission have been recognized as "Integrated Change Agents" in the winter edition of the ConnectED newsletter presented by the Ohio Board of Regents.  Penta will be providing adult education services at the Life Revitalization Center (formerly Macomber High School), which is owned and maintained by the Cherry St. Mission Ministries.  Toledo Public Schools has also joined the partnership with the possibility of developing vocational training for its students.

Penta is already hosting Adult and Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) and GED courses at the Life Revitalization with plans to offer full-time adult programs at the location staring in August 2015.  Initially, programs will be offered in the areas of automotive tech, construction, and welding.  Penta is also working with the Cherry St. Mission to develop a wide range of wrap-around services that will help eliminate roadblocks, providing many area adults with new access to training and employment opportunities

This partnership will not only provide an option, but a solution to area adults seeking higher education and employment in high-demand careers with the ultimate goal to transform Toledo's tomorrow.
