Penta leads Ohio Adult Diploma Program

Penta leads Ohio Adult Diploma Program

Penta Adult Education has been chosen as one of five Ohio educational institutions to share $2.5 million to develop a new approach to adult education.  This new Adult Diploma Program will focus on providing adult students 22 years or older the opportunity to earn their high school diploma through free job training for in-demand careers.

Penta, along with its regional partners, including local schools systems, colleges, career centers, businesses, and government organizations, will focus on creating the infrastructure necessary to offer these programs.  Toledo alone has approximately 60,000 adults who do not have a high school diploma or GED.  The Adult Diploma Program will open new doors for these individuals, placing them on the fast track to simultaneously earning a high school diploma and industry standard credentials and certifications that will lead to high-paying, full-time employment.  The goal is to launch the new program by July 1, 2015.
