Chancellor Visits Penta Adult Education
Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor John Carey, who was visiting the Toledo area on Monday, August 25, made a trip to Penta Career Center to meet the students, instructors, and administrative staff as well as explore the many ways the Adult & Continuing Education Department is engaging the community and working with local businesses to provide unique opportunities for students and employers in Northwest Ohio.
Chancellor Carey stopped by the Builder, Contractor, & Remodeler (BCR) and Welding classes to reach out to students and receive feedback on their experiences in the Adult Education Program at Penta. He is pictured above with George Hair, a full-time student currently enrolled in the BCR program. Mr. Hair has already completed the full-time Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration Mechanic (HVAC) program at Penta and has returned to expand his skill set even further.
The Ohio Board of Regents is the Cabinet-level agency for the Governor of the State of Ohio that oversees higher education as well as adult workforce and adult education centers in the state. Penta's Adult & Continuing Education is part of this system.
