Auto Tech classes start in downtown Toledo, Jan. 2016

This course provides you with the skills and experience to enter the automotive mechanic/technician profession. You'll prepare for and take two tests through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE): Brakes and Steering/Suspension, plus Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling. Your course also includes forklift, CPR and S/P®2 safety training.

In May, 2014, the median annual wage for automotive service technicians and mechanics in the Toledo area was $35,910, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employment is projected to grow 9% by 2022, about as fast as the national average.
