Students Earn Top Awards at the Ohio HOSA Competition!

     Congratulations to 13 Penta students from health care programs who earned top awards at the Ohio HOSA Competition on April 6. These students qualify to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference June 22-25 in Nashville, Tennessee.
    The students who qualify for the HOSA International Leadership Conference include:  Elissa Knipp (Woodmore), first place and Marisa Martinez (Bowling Green), third place in the Dental Science contest; Kiersten Perez (Woodmore), third place in the Dental Terminology contest; Linda Ramirez (Woodmore), second place in the Extemporaneous Health Poster contest; Alexis Clark (Eastwood), first place for the Knowledge Test-Pathophysiology; Rachel Holley (Lake), second place for the Life Support Skills contest; Haley Crawford (Genoa) and Taylor McCoy (Genoa), second place for the Medical Innovation contest; Natalie Campbell (Rossford), third place for the Prepared Speaking contest; and Jasmine Johnson (Northwood), first place for the Speaking Skills contest. In addition, Taylor Steck (Springfield), Victoria Rahe (Genoa) and Alissa Kramer (Maumee) competed in a special event called Health Care Issues and also qualify for the HOSA International competition.
