Machine Trades, 600 hours

This 600 hour machining program is designed to meet the needs of beginner to novice machinists alike.  Part of our curriculum is based on the National Institute for Metalworking Skills, Inc. (NIMS) training guidelines.

The following topics will be introduced as part of this program:

  • Drill Press and Surface Grinding    
  • Job Planning, Bench work, and Layout    
  • Blueprint Reading       
  • Sketching
  • Lathes                              
  • Milling
  • CPR / First Aid / AED
