Penta’s Adult Basic Education program is a student-centered learning opportunity for adults who desire to improve their learning and earning opportunities.
These classes provide you an opportunity to improve reading, writing and math skills. We can prepare you to take the Official GED Test.
Penta Career Center offers classes at 37+ locations such as: East Toledo Family Center, Holland Branch Library, Kent Library, Leverette Elementary School, Local 14, Mott Library, Penta Career Center, Penta Osage Complex, Samuel M. Jones at Gunckel Park Elementary School, Reynold Elementary School, Reformation Lutheran Church (Crossroads Community Center), Reynolds Corner Library, Robinson Elementary School, Rossford Library, Scott High School, The Source, South Toledo Community Center, Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission, Toledo Heights Library, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, Washington Branch Library and Wood County District Public Library.
Classes are held two days a week for three hours each day. Visit our website for days, times, and additional locations.

GED Testing Requirements

The test is given over two days and includes the following components:
Day 1 - Math, Science, Reading
Day 2 - Writing and Social Studies
(English for Speakers of Other Languages)
• Learn Survival English
• Improve Reading, Writing, Conversational Skills
• Study For Citizenship Or Toefl Test
• Class Is Free
