Student-Built House Open Sunday, May 21, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Student-Built House Open Sunday, May 21, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
     During this past school year, Penta Career Center high school students have been constructing a 2,300 square foot house as part of their career training. The house is being constructed for the Hatcher family and is located at 5829 Dowling Rd in Luckey, Ohio (about 3 miles South of State Route 20). The house will be open to the public on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    The Class of 2017 at Penta Career Center will be honored during special Senior Recognition Ceremonies on Tuesday, May 16; Wednesday, May 17; and Thursday, May 18, 2016. (See below for ceremony details.). The high school seniors, who will be completing career-technical programs at Penta, are from sixteen area school districts (Anthony Wayne, Benton-Carroll-Salem, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Elmwood, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Swanton, and Woodmore). All ceremonies will take place in the Susor Auditorium at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township.

Congratulations to eight Penta students who earned either a gold, silver or bronze medal at the Ohio SkillsUSA Championships on April 12 in Columbus. Gold medalists qualify the SkillsUSA Championships in Louisville, KY in June. Rhiannon Reaper (a junior from Oak Harbor), who is in Penta’s Information Technologies Academy, was elected president of Ohio SkillsUSA!

State contest winners included:
Gold (1st Place in Ohio) - Greyson Perry (Lake) from Interactive Media for the Advertising Design contest and Danielle Pearson (Anthony Wayne) & Analicia Santos (Northwood) both from Cosmetology and both for the Nail Care contest.

     Penta Career Center students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a special ceremony on March 23, 2017 at Penta. This year 19 students were honored for their career-technical achievements.

     Congratulations to eight students who earned Top 10 awards on March 16 at the Ohio Business Professionals of America (BPA) competition in Columbus.

     In February, Penta Career Center students earned top awards at the SkillsUSA Regional Competition at Four County Career Center in Archbold, Ohio. See below for the list of Penta students who earned awards at the regional competition and qualify for the Ohio SkillsUSA Championships in Columbus, Ohio on April 11 & 12, 2017.

     More than 50 Penta Career Center students, who are enrolled in either the Medical Technologies Academy, Dental Assistant or Exercise Science/Sports Health Care programs, have earned top awards at the 2017 HOSA Regional competition. The regional contest took place on February 3 in Toledo.

Congratulations to our Culinary Arts students who earned top awards at the Ohio ProStart Invitational on February 19 in Columbus. 
Students Earn Awards at 2017 BPA Regional Competition Students Earn Awards at 2017 BPA Regional Competition
      Congratulations to all Penta Career Center students who competed at the regional Business Professionals of America (BPA) competition on January 25 at Bowling Green State University. Fourteen students earned top awards at the contest and qualify for the 2017 BPA State Leadership Conference March 16 & 17 in Columbus. In addition, 47 other students were recognized at the regional competition by placing in the top six. Penta satellite business programs at Swanton and Northwood High Schools also had several students earn regional awards and qualify for the BPA state contest. 
2017 Penta Board of Education
     The Penta Career Center Board of Education, during its January 11, 2017 organizational meeting, has re-elected Paul Walker (of Bowling Green), who represents the Bowling Green City School District, as president of the Board. In addition, Mark Schoenlein (of Perrysburg), who represents the Perrysburg School District, was re-elected vice president of the Penta Board.

     Congratulations to the 2016 Penta Career Center Outstanding Alumni recipients! On November 10, seven former students were recognized with this special award at the annual All Boards dinner at Penta.
