ATTENTION BOWLING GREEN SENIORS: You will be having an important meeting regarding scholarships and a senior photo at Bowling Green High School on Thursday, February 6 at 9:20 AM. Seniors do not have to come to Penta before this meeting. If you choose to NOT ATTEND this meeting, you must be at Penta at your regular time at 8:10 AM. This meeting will cover senior information, scholarships that are offered to Bowling Green High School seniors only, and will end with the traditional senior group picture. For those Bowling Green seniors that ride a bus to Penta, there will be a bus available to bring you to Penta after this meeting.
EASTWOOD STUDENTS: There will be a yearbook picture re-take this Friday, January 31 between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. All students who still need their photo taken will be given a pass to come down at a certain time. If you are a student who leaves early for Job Placement, you may go down before you leave the building at a time that is convenient for you. If you are not here on January 31, you will not be in the Eastwood Yearbook for this year. Seniors will have a red graduation gown available to put on for your photo. Please see Mrs. Zilba if you have any questions or concerns.
LAKE STUDENTS: The Coming Home Dance will be held this Saturday, February 1 from 7:00 PM till 10:00 PM in the Cafenasium. The attire is similar to Homecoming but a little less formal. The cost for tickets is undetermined at this time, however, tickets will ONLY be sold at the door. Guest dance forms are still available in your Lake High School Google Drive and are due by today – NO EXCEPTIONS!
ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS: The Penta Career Center Common Application is now available on the Penta Scholarship Website or in the Student Services Office in the scholarship box. The nine scholarships that are included in the scholarship application are given to Penta seniors only and could be a great financial aid took for you to use for tuition, college costs or for tools if you are going into the trades or are pursuing a work opportunity. Applications and all supporting information are due on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM. Do not wait to get your 2 (two) Teacher Evaluations and your 3 (three) Letters of Reference completed and in to Ms. Kronk in the Student Services Office. See your guidance counselor or Ms. Kronk for more information!
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: The goal of the National Technical Honor Society is to see deserving technical students recognized and to make the community aware of the talented people who choose Career Tech education paths. NTHS provides opportunities to meet other students, engage in community service, enhance school spirit, rise to leadership, and earn special scholarships. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors may apply at this time. Interested students should visit the Penta website and click the link under the Current Students/Club and Organizations tab to start the application process. Your online submission must be completed no later than next Tuesday, February 4. Students may stop by and see Ms. Cangimilla, Mr. Klever, or Mrs. Wray if you have any questions.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: The Owens representative will be here in the Student Services Office every Thursday starting through May. If you are interested in seeing the representative, please make sure to let Ms. Kronk know and she will schedule you an appointment.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: If you wish to vote in the presidential election in November, you must be registered to vote. If you are registered to vote, you will have the right to vote in any primary for President on Tuesday, March 17 even though you may only be 17 at the time of the primary. You, then, must be 18 on or before Tuesday, November 3. The League of Women Voters will be here at Penta tomorrow during all lunches. Just a reminder, you have to be 18 on or before Tuesday, November 3, and wish to vote in any presidential primary on Tuesday, March 17 and be registered in order to vote. Please see Mr. Wolf with any questions that you may have.
