New Formula Student USA Racing Project
     The Automotive Technology programs at Penta Career Center will soon be able to build and race Formula First race vehicles thanks to a generous donation from Mark Schoenlein, current member of the Penta Board of Education, and a matching gift from his employer, O-I and The O-I Charities Foundation. During the June 28 Penta Board of Education meeting, Schoenlein and his wife, Meg, presented a check for $3,000 and O-I matched the Schoenleins’ gift with a $6,000 check.  Read More...

Sutton and Rickard Earn Top Awards at HOSA
Congratulations to Hannah Sutton (Eastwood) and Chevelle Rickard (Elmwood), both students in the Medical Technologies program at Penta, who earned top awards at the 2017 HOSA International Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. Sutton placed third in the nation and received a bronze medal in the Interviewing Skills contest. Rickard was top 10 for the Life Support Skills contest.  Read More...

Congratulations Seniors and Class of 2017 Outstanding Students!
    The 52nd senior class at Penta Career Center was honored May 16-18, 2017 during six separate ceremonies in the Susor Auditorium on the Penta campus. This year, 822 seniors from Penta Career Center’s on campus and satellite programs completed career-technical programs and received Career Passports through Penta. During the ceremonies, the Outstanding Student Award was presented to 50 seniors based on performance and excellence in their individual career-technical program. Class of 2017 Recognition Ceremonies are May 16-18
    The Class of 2017 at Penta Career Center will be honored during special Senior Recognition Ceremonies on Tuesday, May 16; Wednesday, May 17; and Thursday, May 18, 2016. (See below for ceremony details.). The high school seniors, who will be completing career-technical programs at Penta, are from sixteen area school districts (Anthony Wayne, Benton-Carroll-Salem, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Elmwood, Genoa, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Swanton, and Woodmore). All ceremonies will take place in the Susor Auditorium at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road in Perrysburg Township.  Read More...

Congratulations Ohio SkillsUSA Medalists and New State President!
Congratulations to eight Penta students who earned either a gold, silver or bronze medal at the Ohio SkillsUSA Championships on April 12 in Columbus. Gold medalists qualify the SkillsUSA Championships in Louisville, KY in June. Rhiannon Reaper (a junior from Oak Harbor), who is in Penta’s Information Technologies Academy, was elected president of Ohio SkillsUSA!

State contest winners included:
Gold (1st Place in Ohio) - Greyson Perry (Lake) from Interactive Media for the Advertising Design contest and Danielle Pearson (Anthony Wayne) & Analicia Santos (Northwood) both from Cosmetology and both for the Nail Care contest.
